Regional Marketing & Communications Manager East Africa
Location: Kigali or Nairobi
As Regional Marketing & Communications Manager for Aleph Hospitality, you will be responsible for driving the marketing performance of Aleph Hospitality’s managed hotel portfolio within your region. The role may be based in either location, depending on the successful candidate’s profile and circumstances.
The role provides strategic direction, commercial oversight and operational support to hotel teams, ensuring that each property has an effective marketing and communications strategy aligned with its business objectives, brand requirements and local market opportunities.
Acting as the regional marketing link between hotel teams, owners, brand partners and Aleph Hospitality’s corporate functions, you will ensure marketing investment delivers measurable commercial results while strengthening the positioning, visibility and reputation of the hotels and brands under Aleph’s management.
Working closely with Sales, Revenue, Distribution and Operations, you will use consumer insights, market trends and hotel performance data to identify opportunities, drive demand and support profitable revenue growth.
The role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, Aleph Hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Commercial Performance
- Develop and execute the regional marketing and communications strategy in line with Aleph Hospitality’s objectives and the commercial priorities of the hotels.
- Lead the hotel marketing planning and budgeting process across the region, ensuring plans support revenue, demand generation and market positioning.
- Work closely with Sales, Revenue, Distribution and Operations to translate commercial priorities into effective marketing initiatives.
Hotel Marketing & Performance
- Provide strategic direction, oversight and support to hotel marketing teams, ensuring effective execution of agreed plans.
- Monitor hotel and regional marketing performance, identify opportunities and challenges, and recommend actions to improve results and return on investment.
- Champion best practice, collaboration and shared initiatives across the regional portfolio.
Brand Management
- Ensure consistent implementation of relevant brand standards across the region while supporting appropriate localisation.
- Act as a key link between Aleph Hospitality, hotel teams and brand partners, ensuring hotels maximise the value of brand programmes, tools and resources.
Marketing, Digital & Communications
- Oversee regional and hotel-level marketing and communications activity across digital, social media, PR, partnerships and other relevant channels.
- Drive digital performance and direct business, ensuring hotel content, campaigns and platforms effectively support visibility, engagement and conversion.
- Build strong relationships with relevant media, influencers and strategic partners to strengthen brand and hotel visibility.
Budget & Agency Management
- Manage regional marketing budgets and oversee hotel marketing investment, ensuring resources are appropriately allocated, optimized and aligned with business objectives.
- Manage relevant agencies and external partners to ensure quality, efficiency and effective execution.
Owners & Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong relationships with hotel owners and key stakeholders, providing clear visibility on marketing strategy, investment, performance and opportunities.
- Demonstrate the value and commercial contribution of Aleph Hospitality’s marketing function through effective reporting and recommendations.
Development & New Openings
- Support Aleph Hospitality’s regional development through market analysis and marketing input for new opportunities.
- Support new hotel openings, conversions and transitions, including positioning, launch planning and marketing readiness.
Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Hospitality, Tourism or a related discipline from a recognised institution, or equivalent professional experience.
Previous Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Marketing and/or Communications, within the hospitality industry.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a regional, multi-property or managerial marketing role, preferably within the hotel industry.
- Experience working across multiple hotels and/or brands is highly desirable.
- Experience working with hotel owners, international hotel brands and third-party agencies would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of hotel commercial performance, digital marketing and demand generation.

- Strong understanding of customer behaviour, market dynamics and digital marketing.

- Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High degree of initiative, accountability and attention to detail.

- Creative and innovative with the ability to identify and implement new opportunities.
- Comfortable working independently and across geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate performance data into actionable recommendations.

- Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace and relevant marketing and digital platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Valid driver’s licence.

Cluster Marketing Manager Nairobi (multi-property role)
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
The Opportunity:
Aleph Hospitality is seeking an experienced Marketeer to manage the marketing, social media and PR & Communications for our hotels in Nairobi, Kenya. In this role you will develop and execute the marketing and communication strategy and plans for the hotels, leveraging consumer insights and market trends to strengthen competitive positioning, and support in the achievement of the commercial goals for the properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Developing and executing marketing strategies tailored to the specific needs and characteristics of respective hotels
- Team Management: Leading and mentoring marketing teams (where applicable), providing guidance and support to ensure team members achieve their goals.
- Market Analysis: Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Campaign Management: Managing the development and execution of marketing and communication campaigns, ensuring they are effective and aligned with the overall marketing strategy.
- Brand Compliance Management: Ensuring consistent brand messaging and representation within the region.
- Budget Management: Managing marketing budgets for the hotels, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with other departments, such as sales, brand management, revenue and operation teams, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- F&B & Events Marketing: Proven success in driving innovative campaigns for Food & Beverage outlets and events to boost revenue.
- Local Expertise: Deep understanding of the local market dynamics and consumer trends
- Performance Measurement and reporting: Tracking and analysing the performance of marketing and communication campaigns and initiatives, adjusting as needed to optimize results. Providing regular updates and reports to senior management on marketing performance and activities.
Your Profile
- Experience: 3-5 years in hotel marketing, or similar hospitality roles, in multi property roles.
- Expertise: Experience with branding, graphic design, social media management, PR & media relations
- Communication: Strong reporting and presentation skills; ability to translate data into insights.
Languages
Fluency in English required; additional languages are an advantage (especially Swahili and French)
